COMPANY

Astley & Meslet is a French/English design collaboration based in London founded by Creative Directors architect and writer Philip Astley, and illustrator and actor David Meslet. We are a publishing and apparel company; illustrated novella, audio production, and character designs for leisure wear. We create by hand in pen and ink before we digitise our designs for production, working with artisan studios in the U.K. and Europe. Our stories and apparel are the spirit of a French summer guinguette, relaxing with friends après sport. We communicate decisions on the ecology of our products with suppliers, readers, and customers.

BIOGRAPHY
We share a love of music and film that inspires our creations. Philip composes music to accompany our French/English stories. David performs with his francophone theatre company in London. Living in London, we are from Lyon, with family in the Caribbean and southern Africa. Their perspectives on the world, how they live, influence our work. We believe creativity in business enterprise is key to changing individual lives; instigating projects, enabling access and opportunities.
